Masterpiece
I wanted to create a masterpiece, Since you deserve nothing less than this. And if I fall short, forgive me please, I'll do my best to give this work justice. A sonnet worthy of Shakespeare's quill, With perfect form, and rhyme, and will. Or a painting to shame Monalisa's smile, And immortalize your sweetness and guile. As much as I adore, your perfection, however, It's more than any word, and color, or pictures. It's how you complete and make me better, Inside and out, my good and bad features. As the mindless monotony of everyday life, Bores slowly, deeply, coldly to my core, Your gracious smile and your infectious laugh, Warms my heart and makes me soar. Your wisdom and wit beyond compare, Beacon to my blind and aimless glare. The overwhelming love you selflessly share, I’m oh so thankful – my honey pretty and fair. As sure as warmth radiates from sun’s rays, I love you now, forever, and always. RMSantos 02-14-2025
